Back to Work Employer Officers

Back to Work Employer Officers work with employers who are considering employing local job seekers. They provide advice and guidance on how to apply for the Back to Work program and advice on employee retention tools and options of other available government assistance.

Back to Work Jobseeker Officers

Back to Work Jobseeker Officers work with job seekers or those at risk of losing their jobs, providing independent advice and access to services, tools and support that may be of assistance.

Looking to upskill or retrain?

The Certificate 3 Guarantee Plus (C3GPlus) provides eligible jobseekers with funding for training to help secure local jobs. Training may include ‘second chance’ training for jobseekers or workers who already have a Certificate 3 (or higher) level qualification, but need or want new or updated skills to gain, change or retain employment.

Back to Work Jobseeker Officers can provide advice on training options available and provide assessment for the C3GPlus.

If you think your employee could benefit from the C3GPlus, contact your local Back to Work Jobseeker Officer by clicking here.

Important information about submitting applications

Applications for Back to Work payments must be made by the employer, not an agent or other party. This is because the employer needs to agree to the terms and conditions of the Back to Work Program. From 1 July 2019, a certified copy of the employer’s ID must be included as evidence for all applications.

Initial payment applications must be received within eight weeks of the employee completing four weeks of continuous employment.

We encourage small businesses to apply for Back to Work as it has really helped our business during some of the most challenging times.
